Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Live: Just hours before the vote counting starts, everyone is waiting to see if the exit poll predictions that the NDA government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi will win a sizable majority will come true. Although the opposition India Bloc has denied the exit polls, the BJP is confident that they will easily become the majority party and has also started celebrating this significant victory.

What did the exit polls predict? All important exit polls have projected the NDA to win by a big margin, and the BJP is projected to do better than its 2019 total of 303 seats. Today’s Chanakya and India-Today-My Axis polls have predicted that the NDA will win over 400 seats. ABP-CVoter predicted 353–383 seats for them, while Jan Ki Baat predicted 362–392 seats for the ruling alliance.

Election Results 2024 Live: YouTube Shorts and Insta Reels Ruled this Lok Sabha Election

This year’s election has undoubtedly seen a digital shift, thanks to both the BJP and the Congress, as well as their key people. Modi’s official YouTube channel posted 1,222 full-length films between April 1 and May 30 (the last day of campaigning); on average, each video was viewed 44,000 times. On the other hand, in the same time period, the channel posted 258 YouTube shorts, which averaged around 8.5 lakh views. Instagram Reels were the talk of the town. With just 37 short films of Modi, each reel was viewed around 100 million times, or an average of 27 million views.

Election Results 2024 Live:

What’s happening in the states that are likely to go to polls? The states that the opposition’s Bharat Bloc would want to target to disrupt the BJP’s spectacular victory are Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana. Two of these states, Haryana and Maharashtra, are due to go to assembly polls later this year. The third state, Bihar, is due to go to assembly polls in late 2019.

Still, these are states where the NDA has prevailed – and won handsomely. Last time, the NDA won 39 of the 40 seats in Bihar. Of the 64 seats won by the NDA in UP, the BSP got ten, the SP five (during their alliance election) and the Congress one. This time, the Congress and the SP are contesting jointly in UP.

With the AAP and the Congress competing against each other, the BJP won all seven seats in Delhi in 2019. A similar situation was seen in Delhi and Haryana in 2019, where the AAP and the Congress are united this time.

Congress-BJP Live Election Results 2024 Individually

Like in 2019, the two biggest political parties of the country are facing off for 193 seats. In other words, in the seats where there was a triangular contest, the candidates of these two parties were either victorious or runners-up; nevertheless, BJP and Congress were victorious or runners-up on these seats. Only 15 of these seats went to the Congress’s account.

Except for the 194 seats where they are having a triangular contest with regional parties, Congress and BJP are facing off against each other this time. The main issue is whether Congress can perform better this time, as they are presenting themselves as a direct challenge to the BJP.

Election Results 2024 Live: Karnataka will be a big test for Congress

After winning 135 of the 224 assembly seats in Karnataka, the Congress hopes to repeat its success in the Lok Sabha elections. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 25 of the 28 seats, handily defeating the grand old party. Meanwhile, two prominent figures from the region, Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, continue to hold the fort for them in the state. The BJP too has left no stone unturned to replicate its past success. In an effort to consolidate its support among the Lingayats, its primary constituency, it named BY Vijayendra, son of BS Yediyurappa, as the state party president. Additionally, it seeks to attract some Vokkaligas through its association with former prime minister HD Devegowda’s JD(S).
