International Yoga Day 2023 Theme

“Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” is the theme of this year’s International Day of Yoga 2023, which beautifully reflects our shared aspiration for “One Family, One Earth, and One Future”.

From the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also lead the Global Festival of Yoga this year. Apart from this, the Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, also presides over the country’s International Yoga Day 2023 celebrations in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal announced this in a press conference held in New Delhi on Saturday.

Unique Features of International Yoga Day 2023

International Day of Yoga 2023 will witness several unique initiatives:

Ocean Ring of Yoga

Nine ports across the world will host Indian naval ships, which will continue to participate in the Aam Aadmi Yoga Protocol demonstration. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways will organize CYP demonstrations in nations where they have signed MoUs.

Yoga Bharatmala

The Indian Navy, ITBP, Indian Army, Indian Air Force, BSF, and BRO will all perform a series of yoga demonstrations simultaneously. Yoga Sagarmala will have yoga facilities on the Indian beach. Yoga will be performed on the upper deck of INS Vikrant.

Har Aangan Yoga

The International Day of Yoga in 2023 aims to enable “Har Aangan Yoga” nationally. It also seeks to make yoga observation possible through Anganwadis, health and wellness centers, and educational institutions in villages.
