Ghat installation time on Chaitra Navratri

Ghat Sthapana of Chaitra Navratri is celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. Chaitra Shukla Pratipada Tithi will be from 10:52 pm on 21st March to 8:20 pm on 22nd March, therefore the auspicious time for Ghat Sthapana is going to be from 6:30 am to 7:32 am on 22nd March. You will get a total time of 1 hour and 09 minutes for Ghatasthapana.

Rules of Attrition

• Some special rules are to be taken care of during Ghatasthapana or Kalash Sthapana
• First of all, clean the place by choosing a place in the northeast direction to decorate the chowki of Mother Goddess.
• Purify that place with the water of the Ganges by placing a wooden post and placing a clean red-colored cloth on it.
• Establish the idol of Mother Goddess on that Chuki.
• After this, establish the Kalash by meditating on the first worshiped Ganesha.

• Now wrap the Chunri in coconut for the installation of Kalash or Ghat. Tie a molly on the mouth of the urn, fill the urn with water, and put a pair of cloves, a lump of turmeric, Durva, and a rupee coin in it. Now put mango leaves in the urn and keep coconut on it, then the urn should be placed on the right side of the idol of Maa Durga.

Mata Rani’s ride is decided by the day

It is decided on the basis of Mata Rani’s ride in Navratri. If Navratri begins on Monday or Sunday, then Maa Durga’s vehicle is the companion. If Navratri starts on Saturday or Tuesday, then the vehicle of Mata Rani is a horse. If Navratri starts on Thursday and Friday, then the vehicle for the arrival of Mata Rani is in a Doli. If Navratri starts on Wednesday, then the vehicle of Maa Durga’s ride is a boat.

This year Mata Rani will come on a boat
