Team India captain Rohit Sharma has entered a rare club. He holds a record as the seventh Indian cricketer to score 17,000 runs in international cricket. Rohit has achieved this feat after Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag, and Dhoni.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has achieved a new milestone. The hitman, who scored 35 runs in the last Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy, completed 17,000 international runs in this sequence. He achieved this feat making Rohil Sharma a record as the seventh Indian cricketer. Only six players have ever amassed more than 17,000 runs for India in international cricket: Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, Saurabh Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, and MS Dhoni.

Rohit, who played 438 international matches, was just 21 runs short of 17,000 runs before the start of the Ahmedabad Test. Hitman hit Mitchell Starc for a four and in his own style has finally achieved this position.

For India, Rohit Sharma has played 24 Test matches and amassed 2022 runs at an average of 66.73. The hitman scored 8 centuries and 6 fifties. He holds the record as the second Indian cricketer to complete two thousand runs in India.

Number-3: Here Rahul Dravid is in the third position. Dravid has scored 24208 runs.

Number-4: Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly is in the fourth position on this list. In his career, Sourav Ganguly has scored 18575 runs.

Number-5: MS Dhoni, India’s most successful captain, scored 17266 runs in international cricket.

Number-6: Virender Sehwag, a former powerful batter, has 17253 runs in international play to his credit.
